King & Prince Seafood® Awarded Grade “A” in BRC Food Safety Certification
Brunswick, GA – King & Prince Seafood® has earned the prestigious BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification under the Global Standard for Food Safety. After an extensive review of the company’s operational systems and procedures, documentation, and a comprehensive plant audit, the King & Prince Seafood® production facility in Bellingham, WA, was awarded certification with a grade of “A,” the highest available. This is the first year the King & Prince® Bellingham, WA production location has applied for review for BRC certification. The Brunswick, GA facility has received an “A” the past three consecutive years.

BRC audits are based on seven sub-categories: senior management commitment, food safety plan (HACCP), food safety and quality management system, site standards, product control, process control, and personnel.
